وجه ديديه دروجبا أسطورة تشيلسي، نصائحه للدولي الفرنسي كيليان مبابي، بشأن مستقبله في نادي باريس سان جيرمان.

مبابي هذا الموسم سجل 28 هدفًا  وصنع 20 تمريرة حاسمة في 38 مباراة بجميع المسابقات، ويرى دروجبا أنه من أفضل اللاعبين في العالم.

وقال المهاجم الإيفواري في تصريحات لموقع “فوت ميركاتو” الفرنسي: “أعتقد بلا شك أن كيليان مبابي من أفضل اللاعبين في العالم”.

وأضاف: “إنه اللاعب الذي تريد جميع الأندية أن يكون في فريقها لإحداث الفارق وإذا رأينا باريس سان جيرمان هذا منذ بداية الموسم، سنعرف قيمة كيليان”.

وأكمل: “أيًا كان المشروع، فـ كيليان مبابي ضروري فيه، لأي فريق في العالم مبابي هو الحل المثالي لهم دائمًا وأبدًا”.

وأشار: “الآن على مبابي أن يأخذ زمام المبادرة، رأينا هذا العام إنه يريد تولي قيادة الفريق ومنتخب فرنسا، أينما كان سيكون هو القائد، والأمر متروك له لحل كل المشاكل في الملعب”.

كيليان مبابي ينتهي عقده مع باريس سان جيرمان في الصيف المقبل، وحتى الآن لم يجدد مع النادي الفرنسي، وسط اقتراب انضمامه من ريال مدريد الإسباني.

Celtic’s talks with Sunderland striker Charlie Wyke are progressing well, according to Football Insider.

The Lowdown: Hoops make their move; Wyke ‘very keen’

Celtic aren’t the only side interested in snapping up the 28-year-old on a free transfer.

Championship sides Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest and Millwall all held initial talks with the free-scoring forward, who his former manager Phil Parkinson hailed as ‘excellent’, however, reports have suggested he is ‘very keen’ to join Celtic.

The Hoops appeared to open talks with the striker on Thursday, and it seems as if discussions are going well.

Former Sunderland striker and Football Insider pundit Kevin Phillips was having his say on a potential Hoops move for Wyke and what it would mean for the Black Cats.

In that story, shared on Friday, Football Insider claimed the latest update from a recruitment source is that talks with the Hoops are progressing well.

Phillips claimed a possible Parkhead switch for Wyke would be a ‘massive blow’ for Sunderland.

The Verdict: A possible shrewd addition

Should Celtic get a deal over the line for Wyke, it could be a solid first signing for new Celtic CEO Dominic McKay and manager Ange Postecoglou.

The pair met in London on Friday to continue preparations for the new season, so Wyke could have been on the agenda for the two.

He scored 30 goals last season in all competitions, more than any other Celtic player. Wyke’s Sunderland deal was also thought to be worth £6,400-a-week, considerably less than a number of Hoops players.

So, on that basis, a free transfer for the Englishman could be a shrewd acquisition going forward.

Peterborough United Director of Football Barry Fry believes that Graham Potter is a realistic target for Tottenham Hotspur, and has hailed the football he plays at Brighton & Hove Albion in an exclusive interview with The Transfer Tavern.

Spurs are trying to appoint a new manager following the sacking of Jose Mourinho earlier this season, with Potter one of head of recruitment Steve Hitchen’s top targets, as per The Daily Mail.

Ryan Mason is in charge on an interim basis at this point in time, but is unlikely to get the job on a full-time basis.

Potter has somewhat struggled at Brighton at times this season and they are currently 17th, although they have achieved Premier League safety.

Per UnderStat, however, Brighton should be 7th in the table based on their xG, and Fry believes that Brighton simply don’t have the goalscorer required to climb the table.

However, he has been impressed with the way Brighton play, and thinks that the signing of a clinical striker would see them climb the table.

He told TT: “He arguably plays the best football in the Premier League but unfortunately, for me, they haven’t got a goalscorer.

“So no matter how much football you play, no matter how many chances you create, unless you’ve got someone to stick it in the back of the net, you’re never going to do it.”

Fry believes Daniel Levy will be keen to bring Potter into the club, as Spurs will thrive on the chances Potter usually creates.

He added: “I can understand Daniel Levy going for somebody like that and obviously Spurs will have, no disrespect to Brighton, better players in forward positions to finish those chances that he creates.”

Manchester United secured second place in the Premier League with a 1-1 draw against Fulham last time out, but it was a far from satisfactory performance from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

The Red Devils took the lead in spectacular, if controversial, style when Edinson Cavani floated the ball over Alphonse Areola from 40 yards out.

Cavani latched onto David de Gea’s long pass downfield after VAR importantly adjudged that the ball had touched Bruno Fernandes on the way through before executing an exquisite lobbed finish that gave the 10,000 fans in attendance something to cheer.

However, despite dominating possession and carving out the better opportunities, United failed to finish Fulham off, and suspect defending allowed Joe Bryan to ghost in at the far post and nod home an equaliser from Bobby Decordova-Reid’s cross.

It was a poor performance all round from the 20-time English champions, but one man who was particularly disappointing, though, was Paul Pogba.

The 28-year-old midfielder has been one of United’s standout performers since the turn of the year, bagging five goals and providing seven assists in all competitions throughout 2021, although Tuesday nights display was certainly one to forget.

As per SofaScore, Pogba received a miserly 6.1/10 rating, which was by far the worst of any player to feature in this midweek encounter.

During the 90 minutes, the France international lost 11 of his 12 ground duels with Scott Parker’s men and won just three of his six aerial duels despite his 6 ft 2 frame.

To top off an extremely below-par display from the star, who takes home a reported £290,000-per-week wage packet, Pogba also failed to complete any of his four dribbles, lost possession 16 times and completed just 50% of his long passes. It was unquestionably the former Juventus man’s worst performance in quite some time, but he has been known to have the odd stinker like this from time to time.

United fans will be hoping it was just another one-off with the Europa League final around the corner, but Pogba clearly let Solskjaer down once again against Fulham.

– Nossa grande briga é de que os lances apontados pelo árbitro de vídeo sejam claros e indiscutíveis, por exemplo. Por exemplo, dúvidas se a bola entrou ou não, ou um impedimento. Já os lances de interpretação não estariam sob o ponto de vista de um árbitro de vídeo.

– Estamos pensando em 2017, mas dependemos de uma resposta da Fifa. A princípio, o uso do recurso seria restrito a jogos da Série A. Mas temos de analisar a maneira como isso iria impactar o andamento de jogo. Temos de aguardar.

Leicester City reached their first FA Cup since 1969 as Kelechi Iheancho’s goal proved enough against Southampton at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

How did we rate the Foxes’ individual performances in the capital?

Starting XI

Kasper Schmeichel – 6/10: His mark cannot be higher simply because he did not have anything to do. The Dane was not forced into a single save by Southampton throughout the entire match.

Wesley Fofana – 7/10: The Frenchman was very impressive and proved a formidable wall for the Saints to get beyond. His anticipation of danger was key in Leicester reaching the final with his highly impressive five interceptions.

Jonny Evans – 8/10: Arguably Leicester’s man-of-the-match, the Northern-Irishman was a huge presence at the back. He produced a tackle, an interception, three clearances and a block throughout the 90 minutes according to WhoScored, earning his £80k per week wages and more.

Caglar Soyuncu – 6/10: Returning after a two-game absence, the Turkish defender was slightly rash. He was booked early in the second-half for a late challenge on Kyle Walker-Peters and was probably slightly fortunate to get away with a couple of mistimed challenges.

Ricardo Pereira – 5/10: Deployed on the left, the Portuguese did not look totally comfortable. He only completed 56.8% of his passes before he was hauled off on the 60-minute mark.

Wilfred Ndidi – 6/10: Whilst not the usually dominant figure in the centre of the park for the Foxes, having provided just one interception, he was still hugely useful in providing a shield in front of the Leicester backline by keeping James Ward-Prowse quiet.

Youri Tielemans – 7/10: An ever-present in the Leicester midfield, the Belgian’s display at Wembley was impressive in all facets of the game. He was strong defensively whilst contributing four key passes, more than the rest of the players on the pitch.

Timothy Castagne – 6/10: Not a standout performer by any means but the former Atalanta man was solid without being spectacular. The wing-back contributed three tackles throughout the duration of the game.

Ayoze Perez – 6/10: Another to return to the starting line-up, the Spaniard linked play well and got in behind Walker-Peters on occasion but was somewhat wasteful with his opportunities – highlighted by an overhit cross to Vardy in the first period. He was replaced by Marc Albrighton.

Jamie Vardy – 7/10: Whilst not ending his barren run, the striker was a constant threat to the Saints with his runs down the left-flank. He wasted a fantastic opportunity in the first-half as he attempted to chip Fraser Forster but was key in Leicester’s opening goal having been released down the left, then producing a great cross for Iheanacho.

Kelechi Iheanacho – 7/10: The Nigerian simply cannot stop scoring. Whilst he was fortunate in that the ball came back to him for his strike, he stayed cool to slot home at the second attempt for his 15th goal in all competitions. He also teed Maddison up late on, an opportunity that was wasted.

Substitutes

Marc Albrighton – 6/10: Whilst not quite having had the same impact that he had against West Ham United, he was a useful option in closing out the game.

James Maddison – 6/10: His first appearance since breaking guidelines, the midfielder showed he was a threat after coming off of the bench by having two shots but he could get neither on target.

أكد مهاجم منتخب كوت ديفوار، سيباستيان هالر، على أن هدف الأفيال في بطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا هو الفوز باللقب في النهاية قبل ساعات من مواجهة مصر في دور الـ 16 من المسابقة يوم غدًا، الأربعاء.

يلتقي منتخبا مصر وكوت ديفوار في تمام الساعة السادسة مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة” على ملعب “جابوما” في مدينة “دوالا” الكاميرونية بقيادة الحكم الكونغولي، جاك ندالا.

وتحدث هالر عن كأس أمم إفريقيا في المؤتمر الصحفي، وقال: “في كرة القدم اليوم، لم تعد هناك فرق صغيرة، الكل يعمل بجد من أجل التطور، واجهنا صعوبات بسبب فيروس كورونا، لم تكن استعداداتنا كما أردناها، تزداد قوة كوت ديفوار من خلال التدريبات للوصول إلى أفضل ما لدينا”.

وتابع: “هناك شعب كامل وراءنا، نحن لسنا 26 لاعبا فقط، كثير من الناس يؤمنون بنا، نريد تكرار إنجاز 2015 (الفوز بالبطولة) لإرضاء الجميع”.

وعن تغيير مركزه مع كوت ديفوار مقارنة مع أياكس: “دوري مختلف في المنتخب، في أياكس يتعلق الأمر بمركز المهاجم ولكن في كوت ديفوار أؤدي أكثر من دور في أكثر من مركز (الجناح والهجوم)”.

ومواجهة مصر: “إذا نظرت إلى مشوارنا، دائمًا ما نلتقي بتلك المنتخبات الرائعة، منتخب مصر من بين هؤلاء الفرق، مدربهم لديه الكثير من الخبرة، لاعبون عبقريون مع محمد صلاح، مباراة يجب أن نركز فيها لأنها في المراحل الإقصائية، يمكن أن تكون 90 دقيقة أو أكثر، نحن نستعد لمباراة تكتيكية يمكن أن تكون مغلقة”.

وأضاف: “بالنسبة لنا، نحن لم نأت إلى إلا هنا سوى للفوز باللقب، طموحي هو كتابة التاريخ مع كوت ديفوار، ليس فقط تسجيل الأهداف على أرض الملعب، لكن هناك أشياء أخرى تحدث خارج الملعب، أريد بذلك قصارى جهدي، الفوز ببطولة كأس إفريقيا والصعود إلى كأس العالم في السنوات المقبلة”.

وأتم تصريحاته: “تمثيل كوت ديفوار أكثر صعوبة، لأن هناك إصابات كثيرة بسبب فيروس كورونا، هذه أول كأس لي مع المنتخب، بطولة صعبة هناك أشياء كثيرة يجب تطويرها للبقاء على هذا المستوى”.

Speaking recently to the Polish media, Krzysztof Piatek revealed that he turned down a move to Tottenham Hotspur last year.

In comments made to Prawda Futbolu (via Sport Witness), the Hertha Berlin centre-forward claimed that Spurs made an offer to loan him for one-and-a-half years back in January 2020 – when Harry Kane was sidelined due to injury – but he preferred a move to the Bundesliga.

The Poland international said: “I don’t know if I can talk about it, but Milan must have received an offer from Tottenham to loan me for 1.5 years. That was when Harry Kane was injured and I was supposed to replace him for the first three months. However, Hertha were more specific.”

Indeed, Piatek was heavily linked with a £30m move to north London in the winter transfer window of the 2019/20 season, but the £15.3m-rated 25-year-old ultimately joined Hertha in a £21.6m deal.

Transfer Tavern Take

Piatek’s rejection of Spurs is something that was likely to have been a huge blow to Jose Mourinho at the time; and with the benefit of hindsight, it could easily be argued that not bringing a striker in during that January transfer window played a large part in Tottenham’s failure to secure a place in the top four last season.

However, considering the Poland international’s subsequent form at Hertha Berlin – 11 goals and three assists over 40 appearances for the club – as well as the fact that Tottenham now have Carlos Vinicius on their books, who has nine goals and three assists over his 18 appearances for Spurs, it would appear that Piatek’s snubbing of the club could have been a blessing in disguise for Mourinho in the long run.
