Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, former Premier League striker Marlon Harewood believes Leeds are the ideal outfit for Patrick Bamford.

The 27-year-old has been thriving in the Whites’ team this season following their promotion from the Championship, not disappointing in front of goal.

Bamford has managed to reach double figures in English football’s top flight and there are now calls for him to be included in Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad for the upcoming European Championships.

The former Chelsea forward has undoubtedly excelled in the current campaign, with Harewood praising both the player and Leeds’ playing style, believing it has greatly benefited the man leading the line.

“He’s had a lot of experience of working with a lot of different clubs and managers, and I think he’s just found his base at Leeds,” Harewood told FFC.

“And obviously, the way they play suits him very, very well, the manager… the way they play is just a breath of fresh air really. It’s nice to watch it, it’s exciting and he’s at the top of that tree, so he’s getting service from all angles. The wingers, the midfielders, they’re looking for balls, angles.”

With the Yorkshire club likely to stay up given their points tally and the amount of fixtures left, the 2020/21 Premier League season will be one to remember for Bamford. His goals have delivered Leeds into a favourable position and put him among some of the best forwards in the division.

Marcelo Bielsa will surely be hoping that Bamford can kick on next term as Leeds perhaps aim for something higher. As for now, though, the Nottingham Forest youth product can be satisfied with his contributions, contributions that look set to keep his side in the top tier of English football.

وتواصل “btolat.com” مع أحد أفراد عائلة كونان والذي رفض ذكر اسمه لمعرفة تفاصيل ما حدث، وقال: “لقد عاد كونان من السعودية لقضاء إجازة مع عائلته في كوت ديفوار”.

وتابع: “كان هناك حفل عائلي يوم الأحد 2 يناير، مع إخوته ثم كانت هناك نزهة في الخارج مع بعض الأقارب”.

وأضاف: “كان يعاني كونان بعدها من عسر الهضم في حوالي الساعة 5 صباحًا يوم، الإثنين 3 يناير، وكان يتقيأ حتى الخامسة مساءً من نفس اليوم”.

وواصل تصريحاته: “لقد كان أوسو حقًا شخصًا جيدًا ولطيفًا للغاية، لكن ظهرت عليه علامات التسمم لأنه كان يتقيأ طوال الوقت”.

واستمر: “هدأ الوضع قليلًا ولكن عاد القيء من جديد مساء الإثنين ثم توفى”.

وعن اتهام البعض لابن عم كونان بتسميمه بحسب التقارير الصحفية الإفريقية: “من الصعب اتهامه بهذا الشكل، لكنه كان مع بعض أقاربه وأفراد عائلته في نزهات خارج المنزل”.

وعن إذا ما كانت هناك مشكلة أو شجار مع أي شخص طوال الفترة الماضية مع كونان، قال: “أوسو رجل بلا أي تاريخ إجرامي، لم يسبق وأن دخل في أي مشكلة مع أي شخص”.

وأتم: “الجهات الصحية هنا طلبت تشريح الجثة لمعرفة سبب الوفاة، وأفراد العائلة كانوا يتشاورون حول هذا الأمر وتمت الموافقة على تشريحها”.

With Paul Pogba heavily linked with the Old Trafford exit, Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward could land the perfect replacement in the January transfer window.

What’s the word?

According to veteran journalist Jonathan Shrager, the Red Devils are interested in Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool are also said to be keen on landing the diminutive 5 ft 9 in midfielder, amid interest from a whole host of clubs from across Europe.

However, Brighton boss Graham Potter has dismissed these claims as sheer baloney. “There have been no approaches,” he said, as quoted by The Daily Mail. “As I’ve said before, just because it’s in the newspaper, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true.”

Whatever the case may be, Woodward simply must sanction a swoop for the former Mali international at all costs by any means necessary.

Solskjaer’s plan B

Bissouma has been in such fine form for the Seagulls since the start of the season, having provided one goal in 13 appearances in the Premier League, via Transfermarkt, while he is averaging 1.5 shots, 1.5 dribbles, 3.3 tackles and 1.6 clearances per game, via WhoScored. By comparison, even Pogba has only managed 1.2 tackles and 1.1 clearances on average per game in the Premier League so far, as per WhoScored.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been delighted with the Frenchman’s attitude in training and in matches amid intense speculation over his future at Old Trafford and insists .

If all else fails, if he cannot convince Pogba to stay at the club, a move for the Malian makes perfect sense in the meantime.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch was effusive in his praise for the 24-year-old after the 2-1 defeat to Spurs in November. He told Match of the Day 2, as quoted by the Brighton & Hove Independent: “There is so much to admire from Brighton today apart from the cutting edge. “So often they had just one player in the box. Even in the event that Pogba does end up leaving Old Trafford, this sort of forward-thinking midfielder would be most welcome in Manchester and signing a player who is capable of covering and replacing Pogba would be a shrewd bit of business, especially when you consider the fact that he is currently valued at a mere £11m via Transfermarkt, which is a fraction of the price Woodward paid Ajax for Donny van de Beek in the summer.

Whilst The Athletic’s Steve Madeley tweeted that Grant was “not really in the game” during the second half. He also lost 54% of his duels against PL veterans Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld.

You could forgive Bilic if he felt slightly let down by his performance.

Albion have only scored six goals all season, the third-lowest of any other Premier League side this season. Only the two teams below, Burnley and Sheffield United, have scored fewer.

The €10m-rated (£9m) striker cannot afford many more games where he goes missing throughout, it will only raise question marks over why he was brought in over some of their other more experienced mooted targets, like Troy Deeney of Watford.

Bilic now has an international break to figure out how to exactly get the best out of a man who scored 19 times last season.

Steven Gerrard has warned Steve Clarke to take care of Glasgow Rangers’ Ryan Jack whilst the midfielder is away with Scotland on international duty.

The 28-year-old started each of the first seven Premiership matches of the season, but he was forced off after just 11 minutes of the the Gers’ clash against Dundee United, coming off with a calf injury. Since then, he has missed four matches, with him only returning to play 12 minutes against Galatasaray on Thursday night.

Despite that, though, he was included in the Tartan Army squad for their upcoming matches against Israel, Slovakia and Czech Republic. As a result, Gerrard has issued a warning to Clarke over how to used him. He said:

“It was great to have him back. He came on and worked his socks off. He put in a disciplined cameo for us. It was the sensible decision because he has only trained once or twice.

“Look, myself and Steve Clarke both know Ryan Jack, we both know his body, we know he needs support, we know he needs managing. But Jacko and Steve Clarke will decide when and how, if he represents Scotland.

“We are pleased when our players get called up, we are proud to see them going to represent their country. But the fact is that Jacko needs support and he needs to manage his body because he is capable of getting an injury if he’s not supported or looked after.

“But I’m sure everyone will use common sense with him moving forward.”

Given his recent issues, it is somewhat of a surprise that Clarke has decided to include the former Aberdeen man in his 30-man group. Of course, given there are three international matches during the break, that means that he has the luxury of selecting more players, and that may mean Jack will play a back-up role, but it is potentially dangerous for the player himself.

As said previously, the £1.53m-valued man (as per Transfermarkt) is an important player for the Gers, and he provides defensive stability in front of the back four – it is no surprise that the two Premiership matches he has missed this term have seen the 54-time Scottish champions concede three goals after they had kept seven clean sheets in a row. Gerrard cannot prevent him from representing his country, but he will be hoping that Jack returns to the Gers fold with no further complications.

Rangers are back in league action once again this evening as they welcome St Johnstone to Ibrox – and a win could take them top of the Scottish Premiership, some five points clear of their arch-rivals.

Last time out, Steven Gerrard’s side breezed past St Mirren 3-0 to keep their 100% record intact. It was certainly one way to bounce back from their Europa League exit last week.

But will the 40-year-old stick or twist with his winning side? There are matches coming thick and fast so rotation could well be needed.

Gerrard could make as many as two changes following Sunday’s victory but there still won’t be any place amongst the matchday squad for summer signing Kemar Roofe.

Rs number one Allan McGregor is set to return to the starting lineup despite Jon McLaughlin’s impressive debut. Following the match, the Rangers chief claimed that the 38-year-old should be fit to face St Johnstone.

In midfield comes the other change as Glen Kamara drops to the bench at the expense of veteran Steven Davis, who sits alongside Ryan Jack in the Gers engine room.

Gerrard has often gone to others over the Finnish international and that could repeat itself here. It remains to be seen if Kamara has a future in Glasgow with Ligue 1 outfit Marseille keen on signing him for around €10m (£9m).

Ryan Kent and Joe Aribo will be deployed on the wings again with Ianis Hagi sitting in the hole.

Whilst upfront, Alfredo Morelos is likely to continue after two goals and two assists from as many matches this season.

ويواجه ليفربول صعوبة في تجديد عقد محمد صلاح، والذي ينتهي بعد عامين في 30 يونيو 2023.

صلاح صاحب الـ29 عامًا يطلب راتبًا أسبوعيًا يتراوح بين 300 إلى 380 ألف جنيه أسبوعيًا حيث يتقاضى حاليًا قرابة الـ200 ألف جنيه إسترليني، ولكن إدارة الريدز لا تريد كسر سقف الرواتب داخل النادي لذا لم يتم التوصل إلى أي اتفاق حتى الآن بشأن التوقيع على عقد جديد.

كيران تحدث عن الأمر الذي يُعد بمثابة مادة دسمة لوسائل الإعلام البريطانية، على مدار الأيام الماضية، حيث يرى أن دفع 300 ألف جنيه إسترليني أسبوعيًا لن يكون مُضرًا لإدارة الريدز، حال تم تمديد عقده لمدة عامين فقط.

وقال كيران في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة “ليفربول إيكو” البريطانية: “ليفربول اعتاد على دفع أجور تنافسية، وبناءً على أحدث الحسابات، الآن ليفربول ثاني أعلى نادٍ يدفع رواتب في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز”.

وواصل: “إذا كان لديهم إدراك، فسوف ينظرون إلى التكلفة الإجمالية للاعب على مدار السنوات الثلاث أو الأربع المقبلة، هذه التكلفة هي رسوم الصفقة بالإضافة إلى الأجور”.

وأكمل: “لنفترض أنهم قدموا له عقدًا مدته خمس سنوات، فمن المحتمل أن يكون ذلك أقل فائدة”.

وأنهى تصريحاته قائلًا: “بالنسبة لي أنا لا أرى سببًا يجعله غير قادر على اللعب بشكل جيد، عندما يصل لعامه الـ35 أو الـ36”.
