As definições continuam a acontecer na direção do Santos nesta reta final de 2017. Desta vez o momento foi de escolher o nome do presidente do Conselho do clube e o resultado apertado da eleição trouxe de volta um velho conhecido: Marcelo Teixeira, que presidiu o Peixe entre 1991 e 1993, e entre 2000 e 2009.

Eleita após reunião de conselheiros na noite desta segunda-feira, a chapa de Teixeira, ligada à chapa “Santos Gigante”, do ex-presidente Modesto Roma Junior, teve 137 votos contra 135 da chapa de Otávio Alves Adegas, que era apoiada pelo atual presidente eleito José Carlos Peres.

Em seu discurso após a eleição, o novo presidente do Conselho pregou a união como forma de gerir o clube nos próximos anos:

– Obrigado a todos que votaram. Hoje fazemos parte de uma única família. A família Santos Futebol Clube – declarou Teixeira, que durante o pronunciamento chegou a ser provocado, o que gerou um princípio de entrevero prontamente apaziguado por Peres:

-Peço união. Com ódio não vamos a lugar nenhum. Será muito difícil conseguirmos levantar esse clube de vez sem a união. O Santos é uma das três maiores marcas do mundo. Temos que ter postura – afirmou o novo presidente do clube.

Junto com Marcelo Teixeira, farão parte da presidência do conselho os seguintes nomes:Matheus Guimarães Cury, como 1º Vice-presidente, Luiz Simões Polaco Filho, como 2º Vice-presidente, Daniel Nascimento Curi, como 1º Secretário e Daniel Pereira Alves, como 2º Secretário.

دافع قلب الدفاع المصري الدولي أحمد حجازي عن مدربه البرتغالي نونو سانتو في ظل الانتقادات القاسية التي يتعرض لها المدرب في الفترة الماضية.

وكانت تقارير صحفية وصفت “نونو سانتو” بالمدرب الدفاعي بسبب قلة أهداف الفريق الاتحادي في بداية مشواره بالدوري السعودي في الموسم الحالي.

وكان حجازي قاد الاتحاد للفوز بهدف دون رد أمام الوحدة، وسجل اللاعب المصري هدف اللقاء الوحيد برأسية في الدقيقة 75 من عمر المباراة.

وقال أحمد حجازي في تصريحات لقناة “MBC”: “المباراة كانت صعبة وازدادت صعوبة عقب طرد لاعبنا عبد الرحمن العبود، تحدث معنا المدرب بين شوطي المباراة وطلب منا اللعب من أجل حسم اللقاء في الشوط الثاني”.

وعن تركيز الفريق على الكرات الثابتة لتسجيل الأهداف قال حجازي: “قمنا بخلق العديد من الفرص لكننا لم نتمكن من تحويلها إلى أهداف، تسجيل أهداف من الكرات الثابتة هو جزء من كرة القدم”.

وقال مراسل برنامج “أكشن يا دوري” أن الاتحاد غير قادر على تحقيق الفوز بلقب الدوري هذا الموسم بسبب أسلوب نونو سانتو، ليرد حجازي غاضبا: “نحن اللاعبون نرى أن نونو سانتو أفضل مدرب، ونشعر بالراحة النفسية مع المدرب، الفريق جيد معه وهذا أمر واضح”.

وواصل حجازي حديثه: “لا يمكنك قول هذا السؤال عن مدرب كبير مثل نونو سانتو، سنستغل فترة التوقف الدولي بأفضل شكل ممكن مثل باقي الفرق، وأعتقد اننا سوف نظهر بشكل قوي في النصف الثاني من الدوري”.

يذكر أن الاتحاد يتواجد بالمركز الثالث في جدول ترتيب دوري روشن برصيد 18 نقطة، بفارق 4 نقاط عن الشباب المتصدر، ونقطة وحيدة عن النصر الوصيف.

Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard has ‘called’ former Liverpool forward Luis Suarez ahead of a possible summer swoop.

That’s according to journalist Gerard Romero, and, as to be expected, the update has received plenty of interaction from Villa supporters on social media.

Romero, who has over 300,000 Twitter followers, had previously shared details of an offer from Villa, with Suarez apparently turning down approaches from Palmeiras, Corinthians, Atletico Mineiro and a Saudi Arabian side to focus on a move to the Midlands.

He’s now added that Gerrard has ‘called’ Suarez ‘for the summer’, with the 34-year-old into his last six months on his Atletico Madrid contract.

Gerrard’s former Reds teammate will turn 35 on Monday, but it seems as if a return to the Premier League to reunite with Gerrard and possibly Philippe Coutinho could be on the cards.

No último dia 25, os sócios do Botafogo elegeram o próximo presidente. E no mais tardar dia 2 de janeiro, Nelson Muffarej, o mandatário eleito, terá de tomar a primeira grande decisão de seu mandato: renovar ou não o contrato do gerente de futebol do clube, Antonio Lopes.

Lopes vem acompanhando o atual mandato praticamente desde a posse do atual mandatário, Carlos Eduardo Pereira, nos últimos dias de 2014. Contudo, tem recebido críticas pelo trabalho tanto no clube quanto fora. Por outro lado, o atual presidente é grande defensor de um de seus primeiros contratados.

A data do fim do vínculo de Antonio Lopes é a mesma da dos jogadores: o próximo dia 31.Enquanto avalia a posição do dirigente, o Alvinegro negocia emdiferentes frentes para se reforçar para a temporada 2018, além de não ter definido sobre renovações de alguns reservas.

Atualmente, Mufarrej é vice-geral de Carlos Eduardo Pereira, e a chapa reeleita vive período de transição. A decisão sobre o gerente, entretanto, já cairá sobre a responsabilidade do próximo chefe maior do Glorioso. E ele precisará decidir entre as críticas de tantos e os elogios dos mais próximos.

O técnico Fábio Carille sabe que o futebol brasileiro está abaixo em relação à Europa, por exemplo. E o treinador do Corinthians não mostra otimismo para analisar o futuro do esporte mais popular no Brasil. Para ele, “tem tudo para ficar cada vez mais abaixo”.

O comandante corintiano acredita que a economia tem que estar em alta no Brasil para o futebol voltar a crescer no país. É também por isso que Carille não gosta de comparar os técnicos daqui com os dos clubes europeus.

Nesta parte da entrevista concedida ao LANCE!, Carille também opinou que só Palmeiras e Flamengo não “estão muito preocupados” com a parte financeira, elogiou o nível dos jogadores brasileiros e analisou a dificuldade nas contratações no mercado interno. Confira:

Na Europa, os técnicos já sabem o elenco da temporada, enquanto aqui há muitas mudanças em pouco tempo. Esse é um dos motivos para tanta diferença?
A maior questão é a financeira do país. Além de ser melhor para o atleta, o clube está louco para vender para entrar receita. Hoje só Palmeiras e Flamengo não estão muito preocupados com isso, mas o restante está. Faz parte. por isso não gosto das comparações de técnicos brasileiros com europeu. Esse ano o Guardiola, além do time montado, parece que tinha R$ 1 bilhão para investir. É totalmente fora da nossa realidade. Mas não quero dizer qualidade do trabalho. Mas para comparar tinha que ser o mesmo nível. É outra mentalidade, outra questão financeira, outra cultura… É difícil comparar.

Acha que dá para chegar perto disso um dia aqui no Brasil?
Primeiro a economia do Brasil tem que estar ótima para depois as outras coisas crescerem juntas. Não vejo o futebol crescer e o país ficar para trás. Uma coisa puxa a outra.

Então concorda que o nível aqui está abaixo?
Está abaixo e tem tudo para ficar cada vez mais abaixo. Por quê? Gabriel Jesus não ficou um ano como titular do Palmeiras. O Malcom em 2015 só jogou o segundo semestre aqui (no Corinthians, antes de ser vendido ao Bordeaux, da França). É interessante para o atleta que vai ganhar muito mais, é interessante para o clube vendê-lo e o cara quer ir. E tem que ir, porque tem todas as condições favoráveis, uma condição familiar muito boa, indo para lugares maravilhosos principalmente na Europa. A China talvez não seja boa para viver, mas em dois anos você praticamente resolve sua vida economicamente. Existe bastante qualidade, é isso que eu discordo. Acabou a qualidade no futebol brasileiro? Sim, está abaixo, mas nossos jogadores estão todos por aí fazendo frente com os maiores jogadores do mundo.

Por isso que é tão difícil ter grandes contratações aqui? Quase todos os destaques vão para clubes estrangeiros…
Muitas vezes, quando acontece o interesse aqui, é que já não foi tão bem. Muitas vezes não sai tão valorizado ou está em final de contrato, como o caso do Lucas Limas. Mas não vejo um time daqui ir lá no Atlético-MG e comprar o destaque deles. Ou um time ir lá no Grêmio e tirar o Luan. Então fica um mercado paralelo. Acaba tendo engenharias, como no caso do Jadson e Pato naquela troca com o São Paulo. Às vezes você pode buscar o destaque do Vitória, que é mais fácil de operar. Mas entre os grandes destaques é muito difícil, a não ser que seja para fora. Teve alguns casos nos últimos anos, como o Leandro Damião para o Santos, mas muito pouco.

Mas apesar da crise financeira, os salários estão cada vez mais altos. Como que o Corinthians fez para reduzir a folha salarial?
Hoje o Corinthians abaixou bem do que foi anos atrás, e perto do que a gente escuta em outros clubes. Abaixou bem em relação a 2011, 2012, 2013… Mas bem mesmo. Foi pela situação financeira, teve vários jogadores vendidos e o dinheiro usado para pagar dívidas. Arrecadou muito, mas ficou uma conta muito alta, teve o estádio e outros fatores. Mas o que não podemos deixar de acreditar é o trabalho. Muitas vezes um jogador não está bem, o clube vai lá e compra outro. Não espera, já descarta, fica inchando o elenco. Esse ano foi uma prova muito grande para o futebol o que aconteceu aqui no Corinthians.

Arsenal have reportedly made Dominic Calvert-Lewin their top target in the summer, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

What’s the word?

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the ever-reliable reporter said:

“I’m told Calvert-Lewin is the one they really want. They’ve been monitoring him for a long, long time.

“I think even before [Mikel] Arteta came in, he was someone that was flagged up to Arsenal’s recruitment people as a player they thought could one day become a big star.

“He is becoming a big star at Everton, but Arsenal are aware there’s absolutely no chance of Everton sanctioning Calvert-Lewin’s sale this window.”

Striker solution?

Indeed, the Gunners were linked with a move for the England international during the summer but he’s now quoted to be worth around £60m.

Arteta desperately needs to sort out his frontline, whether that’s now or at the end of the season as come to the 2022/23 campaign, it is likely that he will have no senior options in the role.

Alexandre Lacazette is out of contract and doesn’t seem as if he’s keen to stay in north London, as is Eddie Nketiah, who could be sold before Monday’s deadline amid interest from Saudi-backed Newcastle United.

Then there is the matter of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s situation. He has not played for the club since early December when he was stripped of the captaincy following ‘another’ behind the scenes disciplinary breach. He’s attracted interest from the Middle East as well as Juventus and Barcelona ahead of deadline day.

It seems as if his Arsenal career has come to a premature end.

So, evidently, the club needs to find Arteta his new talisman and they could do little wrong in going all out for Calvert-Lewin in the summer.

The 24-year-old colossus has been injured for much of the season but has still delivered three goals in six appearances – one fewer than Aubameyang and the same as Lacazette in a fraction of the games played.

Last campaign, he bagged 21 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions, further adding to his tally of 15 in 2019/20.

Also dubbed a “nightmare” to play against, Calvert-Lewin looked up to none other than Thierry Henry growing up, so he’d be an instant hit around the Emirates Stadium.

Therefore, fans must be buzzing by Brown’s latest revelation as the Gunners look to solve their striker crisis in the coming months.
