وقال عبد الجواد في تصريحات للمركز الإعلامي، إن محمود نبيل يعاني من كدمة بنخاع العظام في الإصبع الأكبر بالقدم اليمنى، حيث يحتاج إلى فترة أسبوعين للتعافي من إصابته.

Crystal Palace have been linked with a transfer move for West Bromwich Albion striker Reyes Cleary as the January transfer window fast approaches.

What’s the story?

According to the Daily Mail, the Eagles are one of a number of sides interested in securing the highly-rated 17-year-old’s services, with several Premier League and Bundesliga clubs listed amongst his potential suitors.

The report states that: “Cleary has been compared in style to a young Romelu Lukaku. He is quick, strong and has a goalscorer’s instinct and, as Sportsmail reported, has already been drawing interest from Crystal Palace, Schalke, Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim.”

German giants Bayern Munich and the newest members of football’s financial elite Newcastle United are also believed to be tracking Cleary ahead of a potential offer, meaning Palace chairman Steve Parish may have to move quickly in order to secure his target.

He’s just what Patrick Vieira needs

Cleary has been in sensational form in the opening weeks of the current campaign, finding the back of the net on 14 occasions in just 12 appearances after bagging another brace against Leicester City last weekend.

It’s believed that Munich sent a contingency to watch the stocky striker in action against Stoke City Under-23s last month and are planning on further scouting missions as interest in him continues to grow.

But with Cleary yet to sign a professional contract, an imminent Hawthorns exit could be on the cards, and the youngster may be just what Patrick Vieira needs at Palace.

The French tactician has made a successful start to his squad rebuild in south London, bringing in Odsonne Edouard from Celtic in order to bolster his forward line.

However, with both Christian Benteke and Jordan Ayew approaching the twilight years of their careers and Jean-Philippe Mateta failing to impress, Vieira is expected to delve back into the transfer market for further attacking reinforcements.

As a result, Cleary could be the ideal addition for the capital club. The teenage prodigy has been compared to Lukaku, would arrive for a relatively small fee, and has plenty of room to grow while Edouard continues to lead the line.

It remains to be seen whether Parish can convince the Englishman to join Vieira’s revolution at Palace, but it’s a deal that would signal the Eagles’ intentions in the years ahead.

Aston Villa are interested in a move to bring Jesse Lingard to Villa Park in the January transfer window.

That’s according to a report by Birmingham Live, who claim that Steven Gerrard could look to make the Manchester United attacking midfielder one of the first signings of his tenure at Villa Park, with the 28-year-old looking set to leave Old Trafford in the winter market.

Indeed, a recent report by The Sun claimed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be willing to part with the England international for as little as £10m in the January transfer window, as Lingard’s current contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

Furthermore, Birmingham Live also reported earlier this month that the midfielder’s exclusion from Gareth Southgate’s recent England squad is yet another reason the former West Ham United loanee will be looking to move onto pastures new this winter, something that would appear to bode well for Villa’s chances of securing a deal for Lingard.

Lange must move

Considering just how impressive Lingard was upon his loan move to East London last season, the argument that Johan Lange should make a move to bring the 28-year-old to Villa Park when January comes around is a rather easy one to make.

Indeed, over his 16 Premier League appearances for the Hammers, the £19.8m-rated man scored nine goals, registered five assists and created three big chances for his teammates, as well as taking an average of 2.6 shots and making 1.1 key passes per game.

These returns saw the player who Adrian Durham dubbed “absolutely phenomenal” average a SofaScore match rating of 7.19, with his performances playing a key role in West Ham’s qualification for the Europa League, in addition ranking him as David Moyes’ best player in the top flight of English football.

Indeed, there are clear comparisons between Lingard’s returns last season and that of Gerrard’s former star man at Rangers, Ryan Kent, who scored ten goals, provided 11 assists and created nine big chances over his 37 Scottish Premiership fixtures last term – with these metrics seeing the 25-year-old earn a seasonal SofaScore match rating of 7.23.

As such, it would indeed appear highly advisable for Lange to do everything in his power to bring Lingard to Villa Park this winter, and the £80k-per-week midfielder would undoubtedly be an extremely useful option in Gerrard’s favoured three-man attack.

Trevor Bayliss, the Sri Lanka coach, has said that his team capitalised on New Zealand’s negative bowling to finish on top on the first day at the SSC. On a slow-paced day, half-centuries by Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene and Thilan Samaraweera took Sri Lanka to a strong 262 for 3. Daniel Vettori and Iain O’Brien were the only wicket-takers on a day when the tourists toiled hard on a flat pitch after losing the toss.”It would have been a bit difficult for us if we had to play a few more balls,” Bayliss said. “They looked like they didn’t want us to get away but on this track, which looked like it had a little bit of seam on it, maybe bowling around the off stump might have had us in a bit more trouble.”In a truncated first session, Sri Lanka scored 62 and lost a wicket; in the second they lost two and scored 83. They wore the opposition down to a certain degree and later on in the day, when they started to come and bowl a bit closer to the stumps, we were able to score a little bit quicker. It was a good day for us and we are in a good position.”Bayliss described the wicket as slow, with tennis-ball type bounce. “Earlier on we were thinking if we get to 300 we will be happy with it. The wicket became a little bit easier to bat on as the day wore on. We will be very happy with 350 if we can get to 400 we would be very pleased.”Bayliss was also full of praise for Jayawardene, who he says has played some exceptional knocks over the last two years in charge as coach. Jayawardene looked on course to another century in his favourite venue, batting on 79. He was watchful during his stint and focused on playing a long innings.”His powers of concentration and his mental strength are exceptional,” Bayliss said. “Some of the innings that he’s played, and under pressure, have been sensational. He showed it again today.”On Daniel Vettori’s achievement of reaching 300 Test wickets to add to his 3000 Test runs, Bayliss said: “It’s testament to not only his skill but his long period in the game, since he started at 18. Jadson está acertando menos passes. Sua média no Brasileirão é de 31,8, e nas três partidas que terminaram em derrota foi de 31,3. Ele também não finalizou nenhuma vez nas derrotas, contra uma média de 0,4 no campeonato. Segundo Carille, os dados negativos têm relação com o processo de transição física que o camisa 10 vive: ele ficou fora da equipe por três semanas em razão de fraturas nas costelas e voltou justamente durante o jogo contra o Vitória, sendo preservado na vitória contra a Chapecoense e titular na sequência posterior.

Além do aumento de passes errados, o Corinthians também quase dobrou o número de cruzamentos errados: saltou de uma média de 17,9 por jogo para 31,6 nas três derrotas. O time também se arrisca menos: são três dribles em média na sequência ruim e quase quatro por jogo no restante do campeonato. Os números traduzem uma conclusão simples: o Timão está menos confiante.

Enquanto a criatividade sofre duros golpes na sequência de derrotas, a defesa também exibe números incomuns. Durante todo o primeiro turno, o Corinthians sofreu apenas nove gols em 19 partidas (média de 0,47). Nos jogos contra Vitória, Atlético-GO e Santos foram quatro gols sofridos, média superior a um por jogo, o que também é motivo de preocupação.
