The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said it will begin ex-parte proceedings [in a person’s absence] against Shahid Afridi should he decide against attending the disciplinary committee meeting in Lahore on Wednesday.”In case Shahid Afridi decides against appearing for the hearing, the disciplinary committee will still meet and begin ex-parte proceedings,” Taffazul Rizvi, the PCB’s legal advisor told on Monday. Afridi, returned to Pakistan on Sunday, and in a press conference in Karachi the following day, he and his lawyers Syed Ali Zafar and Mahmood Mandviwalla of the legal firm Mandviwalla & Zafar, refused to rule in or out his appearance at the hearing.One of the demands of Afridi’s lawyers was that he should be allowed a legal representative at the hearing. In a press release issued a few hours before Monday’s press conference the PCB had agreed to that demand stating: “In response to certain reports in a section of media, Pakistan Cricket Board states that it will have no objection if the disciplinary committee allows Shahid Afridi to be assisted/represented by a lawyer during the disciplinary proceedings.””Although it is the PCB’s internal matter, it has as a matter of grace announced that if the committee has no issues it won’t object to Afridi’s lawyer attending the hearing,” Rizvi said. While both Zafar and Mandviwalla said they had received no such communication on Monday, Rizvi told ESPNcricinfo that after the press conference, Afridi’s lawyers had been told they will be allowed in, though they had yet to respond to it.Afridi’s lawyers have insisted they are asking only for a due process to be followed and that the act of suspension of the central contract and NOC withdrawal were punishments handed out the player had been heard. But Rizvi rejected these objections.”The board has suspended Afridi’s central contract because he is under investigation for breaches of discipline,” he said. “Because his contract has been suspended, all NOCs granted to him have been revoked.”Rizvi added that by repeatedly targeting the PCB, Afridi was committing “continuing breaches” of discipline. “Afridi’s contract has been suspended. He hasn’t made any request for the termination of his contract which means that he is still bound by the central contract.”

Ricky Ponting has said he wants to continue playing but that his fate is in the hands of the selectors after Australia’s quarter-final exit from the World Cup.Ponting, 36, scored a measured century in the game against India in Ahmedabad but it was not enough to lead the three-time defending champions to victory, thereby relinquishing the trophy they have held since 1999.”I was asked before the quarter-final and at the media conference immediately after if I was retiring. I am not,” Ponting wrote in his column in the . “It is my intention to keep playing cricket; I might not be the best judge of what my contribution to Australian cricket is.”There are a panel of selectors who have that job and I am happy to accept their judgment.”Ponting’s leadership has also been criticised since Australia lost the Ashes to England at home in January – making him the first Australian captain to concede the urn three times in over a century – and there have been reports that the selectors are contemplating replacing him at the helm. Ponting, however, said he is focused on getting Australia back to the top as quickly as possible.”We need to rally together to review all aspects that have contributed to our performances over the past six months. ويعقد ديشامب اجتماعًا في شهر يناير مع رئيس الاتحاد الفرنسي لكرة القدم، نويل لو جرييه، من أجل حسم مستقبله إذا كان بالرحيل أو الاستمرار حتى كأس أمم أوروبا (يورو 2024) في ألمانيا أو حتى إلى كأس العالم 2026.

كان زيدان هو المرشح المفضل لخلافة ديشامب في تدريب فرنسا، ولكن هناك رغبة من الاتحاد المحلي باستمرار المدرب الحالي بعد وصوله إلى نهائي كأس العالم قطر 2022 رغم الخسارة من الأرجنتين بركلات الترجيح.

عندما خرجت بعض التقارير الصحفية التي تلمح لبقاء ديشامب، رفض زيدان السفر إلى قطر لمؤازرة فرنسا في نهائي كأس العالم، رغم دعمهم بالطبع على حساباته بمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.

كانت هناك رغبة من باريس سان جيرمان في الصيف للتعاقد مع زيدان، لكن المدرب الفرنسي الحاصل على 3 بطولات دوري أبطال أوروبا رفض لأنه لا يتوافق مع سياسة الملاك القطريين بقيادة، ناصر الخليفي.

Kemar Roach, named man of the series for the three-Test series versus Sri Lanka, invokes something of Malcolm Marshall. Darren Bravo brings Lara to mind. Brendan Nash carries the dependable aura of Larry Gomes (and Shivnarine Chanderpaul) and Adrian Barath, who made a hundred in the warm-up game against Kenya, might bring something of Rohan Kanhai. Roach does many delightful things with the ball and he has demonstrated an aggressiveness that harks back to an Ambrose era. Unfortunately, in the continued absence of Fidel Edwards and Jerome Taylor, he has been hampered by a lack of support at the other end, and the team has not operated at full throttle with its bowlers for some time now,Six years younger than his brother Dwayne, Darren Bravo’s family loves to boast that he is the most talented of the brood. Darren has startled many onlookers by his physical resemblance to his cousin Lara, which was exacerbated by his technique and stance bearing an uncanny likeness as well. A genuine find for the West Indies, Darren is full of form, style, confidence and a sense of the different demands of each phase of play. Despite his youth, has a mature head on his shoulders and will add solidity to the batting along with Chanderpaul.If one had to characterise West Indies cricket over the past 15 years or so, Chris Gayle would be the epitome of its nature. He appears entirely indifferent to discipline and authority, is languid in his movements and not afraid to bare his teeth at anyone who dares to challenge him (especially if it comes from officialdom, like the WICB). Yet he obviously has a zest for life and cricket, and once it is ignited, he can be brilliant, as he showed in making 333 against Sri Lanka. Twenty20 has been his playground for a while, long enough for his name as an entertainment brand to be bigger than a retainer contract with the West Indies board. So he knows what it is like to put on a good show. If he can give the team the kind of starts he is capable of producing, making the knockout stage will become a lot easier.

وأضاف: “من جانبه، توجه الاتحاد المصرى لكرة القدم برئاسة جمال علام، بالتهنئة لمجلس ادارة الأهلى برئاسة محمود الخطيب متمنيا لممثل الكرة المصرية التوفيق ورفع راية الكرة المصرية كما عودنا دائما”.

ومن المقرر أن تستضيف المغرب النسخة المقبلة لمونديال الأندية خلال الفترة ما بين 1 و11 فبراير 2023.

يواصل مجلس ادارة نادي النصر السعودي برئاسة مسلى آل معمر، البحث عن تعزيز صفوف الفريق من أجل المنافسة على جميع الألقاب الممكنة.

وبحسب صحيفة “سعودي سبورت” فإن إدارة النصر ترغب في تلبية رغبة الفرنسي رودي جارسيا في التعاقد مع ظهير أيمن جديد في يناير المقبل.

ويفكر أصفر الرياض في ضم نواف بوشل، ظهير أيمن الفتح والذي ظهر بشكل متميز في أول 8 جولات من دوري روشن في الموسم الحالي.

وينتظر أن يعود الدوري السعودي من جديد يوم 15 ديسمبر الجاري، بمواجهات أندية ضمك والاتفاق، والخليج والفيحاء، والوحدة والفتح، والتعاون والعدالة، والشباب والاتحاد، بينما سيلعب الهلال يوم 16 ديسمبر أمام الباطن.

ويحتل الشباب صدارة جدول ترتيب دوري روشن برصيد 22 نقطة، بينما النصر في الوصافة برصيد 19 نقطة، ثم الاتحاد ثالثًا برصيد 18 نقطة، ويأتي الهلال في المركز الرابع برصيد 17 نقطة.
